The interaction of physics with chemistry for personal well-being
Its continous involvement in scientific research, and its close collaboration with major Italian and international academic centres, have allowed IGEA to develop and promote a new branch of medicine: Clinical Biophysics.
Clinical Biophysics studies the therapeutical use of the interaction between physical stimuli and biological systems. Clinical Biophysics techniques are applied in orthopaedics to promote the osteogenetic repair process and cartilage protection, and in oncology for the treatment of solid tumours.
