Clinical Biophysics: a long commitment

Clinical Biophysics studies the effect of physical stimuli applied to biological systems with therapeutic aims.

IGEA is studying, since ever, the clinical applications of physical energy to enhance the osteogenetic repair processes and, recently, on the chondroprotection of the articular cartilage.

IGEA main objective is to support Physicians with the best technology, based on sound clinical results, to the patient care. The efficacy of physical stimulation, is based on solid scientific principles and documented by 20 years of studies and more than 20.000 patients treated.

Biostim (pulsed electromagnetic fields), Osteobit, Osteospine (electric fields) e FAST (ultrasounds) represents an effective instrument for the Orthopaedist to enhance the osteogenetic effect without requiring any further surgery, cutting the time of functional recovery

I-ONE therapy, latest generation device, has been created with a specific attention to treatment adherence. Portable, battery sourced, is an innovating therapeutic system of biophysical chondroprotection for the cartilage.
I-ONE therapy, after arthroscopic surgery (anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction), was able to cut by half the time of functional recovery and dramatically reduced the NSAIDs use. The C.R.E.S. Study, that showed these impressive results, received the award of excellence by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
